This Privacy Policy describes how SortPaper2 (“the App”) handles information when you use it. The App is a free Android live wallpaper that displays sorting algorithm visualizations. By using the App you agree to this policy.
1. Information We Collect
The App itself does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. All settings (image selection, sort speed, cell size, etc.) are stored locally on your device only and are never sent to any server.
If you choose to set a custom image or folder as your wallpaper, the App accesses your device’s photo library solely to display your chosen image locally as a live wallpaper. Your images are never uploaded, transmitted, or shared — they remain entirely on your device at all times.
However, the App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may automatically collect certain information to serve ads, including:
- Device identifiers (e.g. Android Advertising ID)
- IP address and approximate location derived from it
- Device type, operating system version, and language
- Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)
- Diagnostic and performance data
2. How That Information Is Used
The data collected by AdMob is used by Google to:
- Serve relevant advertisements within the App
- Measure ad performance and prevent fraud
- Improve Google’s advertising products
The developer of SortPaper2 does not have access to raw user data collected by AdMob and does not use it for any other purpose.
3. Third-Party Services
The App integrates Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service operated by Google LLC. AdMob’s data practices are governed by Google’s Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
You can opt out of personalized advertising on your Android device by going to Settings → Privacy → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization (exact path may vary by device).
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, you will be shown a consent prompt before any advertising data is collected. Personalized ads are only served with your explicit consent. You may withdraw or change your consent at any time through your device’s ad settings.
4. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
5. Data Retention
The App stores no user data on external servers. Locally stored preferences are retained until the App is uninstalled or the data is cleared by the user. Data collected by AdMob is retained according to Google’s own retention policies.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete data held about you. Because the App itself holds no personal data, such requests should be directed to Google for data collected by AdMob. You can manage your Google data at myaccount.google.com.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
